Unrooting via the use of SuperSU
You can use this method if you want to unroot your android. SuperSu is quite popular with android users since it is quite simple to use.
This is a tool for managing rooted devices and it comes with a variety of features. Our main feature of interest is its ability to unroot android devices.
The process is quite straightforward. Just open the SuperSu app and go to the settings tab. A menu will be displayed.
From the various options provided, select “Full Unroot”. You will be given simple instructions which you should follow to the latter.
Once the process is complete, all you will do is restart your device and you will be good to go. Easy, isn’t it?
Unroot via a file manager
Another way which you might use to unroot your device is by getting to the root access. You will need a file manager that has root access. The best example we shall use is the ES file manager.
Many people assume root access is a complicated affair and are easily put off. Well, don’t be. As you will soon discover, it is just a heap of files on your device.
By deleting these files, you will have rooted your phone. To start this process, head over to your phone’s main drive and select “System”, followed by tapping on “Bin”.
You will then be required to delete “Busybox” and “su”. If these are not there, proceed to the next step.
Head to the system folder and tap on “xbin”. If you locate the files “Busybox” and “su” there, delete them both.
You will then head back to the system folder and choose “app’ before deleting “superuser,apk.”
Last but not least, restart the device and the unrooting process will be done.
Installing an OTA update
One of the main disadvantages of rooting, as we stated, is that it interferes with OTA updates. You should note that this refers to the automatic updates.
You can beat this by installing the updates manually. These updates have a habit of breaking the root access.
Normally, you would be required to root again. If this is not what you prefer, you just move on with installing the next update.
For this process to be fully effective, ensure that you uninstall all root-related apps such as SuperSu.
A major disadvantage to this method is that it only works when the developer releases the updates.

Unrooting Your iPhone (Jailbreaking)
Much of our focus has been on androids. Let us now shift gears to iPhones.
Jailbreaking allows you to by-pass the settings and controls set up by the operating system. It allows you to install third party apps not available in the Apple store.
It is quite easy. First and foremost, ensure that your battery is fully charged. You would not want your battery to die down in the middle of such an important process, would you?
Download the SuperSu app from the playstore and install it on your iPhone. Note that the installation process will only be successful if you are root. Then just launch the app.
Head over to settings and tap on the “Full unroot” option. Once you press this, your iPhone will be fully unrooted.
Note that you will only access the SuperSu app if you ever need to unroot your device again.
