Downloading music from YouTube
Any time you think of accessing music videos, the name YouTube automatically comes to mind. This a video sharing website founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees.
The website contains music videos, documentary films, movie trailers, audio recordings, live streams and video blogs otherwise known as “vlogs”.
Apart from individual uploads; media entities also upload their content on YouTube. This is through the YouTube partnership program in which corporate entities offer their material to YouTube.
Most of the videos on YouTube are free while there are channels which charge a fee to view their exclusive content.
In case you are wondering how the website earns its revenue, here is the answer. Google AdSense is a program which targets ads depending on site content and audience. It then remits the revenue to YouTube.
With YouTube, you can view, share, rate, comment, upload and download videos as well as subscribing to other channels and users.
An analysis done in August 2018 by a web traffic analysis company, ranked YouTube as the second most popular website in the world. As the year 2018 progressed, more than 500 hours of content were uploaded to the site, which translates to over a billion hours of content being watched daily.
